Anyone out there with bright ideas for new marketing ideas

Postby ChicagoConnection on Fri Dec 28, 2007 1:26 pm

I am particularly looking for short term, low cost ideas?
Direct marketing or better yet a good way to market on the internet....
I am ready to hear all good ideas and I probably have some of my own to share.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone in the business who had success with something not too expensive!
Thanks

Hi Chicago,

What are your looking to market? Your properties? Yourself as a realtor?
One thing is certain is that most ad dollars are being spent online. There are a plethora of free sites out there to market real estate. How about starting a blog?

Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,

I know that this might seem incredibly "self serving" as I am the founder of a company named, Real Capital Markets LLC but we build custom presentations that are privately branded for the individual brokers who will generally pass our bill through to their sellers because the properties we do are generally over $30 milliion.
Our clients may use one of our presentations or their own presentation that we can link back but what's really unique is that we really do have all the legitimate qualified buyers to bid on any property with pricing of $10 million or greater. We can bring the qualified bidders to bid on your biggest listings, any property type and in any city because our dedicated research staff has combed the sale comparabe information and interviewed all of the buyers and sellers for any trades greater than $10 million for the past 8 years.
Another unique solution that RCM1 provides is the virtual data room. If you're planning to really sell any larger property or company who need to have an electronic war-room or virtual deal room so that hundreds or thousand of qualified buyers can easily access the documentation that they'll be needing to aggressively price any of your listings.

Please let us know if we can ever be of assistance on extra large packages, portfolio's or property value in excess of $5 milliom

If you don't have a real estate blog already, it's time to start one. You can have a blog up and running in a couple of days, and it's a great way to encourage participation from readers. Many of the people who leave comments on your blog will be local buyers or sellers, which means they could become your next client.

Blog often to increase traffic to your website. This is the primary benefit of blogging programs they make it incredibly easy to publish new content on a regular basis. The more information you publish, the more search engine visibility you'll enjoy. This in turn will increase your web traffic and the number of real estate leads you produce.

Real estate marketing is a lot simpler than most Realtors make it out to be. Some equate expensive products and services with quality.
However, effective real estate marketing does not have to be expensive, complicated, or sophisticated. Sometimes, plain, simple, direct and to the point makes lasting impressions that result in increased business opportunities and more income.
One of the most effective real estate marketing ideas involves Expired Listings. If you're newly licensed, new to a community or simply looking for a way to increase your business you should aggressively pursue them.

I know this may sound crazy, but the recession can be one of the best times to buy foreclosed homes. I checked out a couple of websites, and I found this one specifically to be knowledgable.
Visit Product Supply Center.
If that doesnt work for you, try searching for areas around the United States that have not been greatly affected by the recession.

I use Craigslist to market over 300 properties in the Orange County area. I have been seeing results as good as 15 leads a day! One month I had over 5000 hits directly from Craigslist alone!

The good days may have past!? I need a posting service. A service that follows Craigslist "terms and conditions". Anyone have any idea's?

Be 'hyperlocal' in your marketing for your listings.

Edit: Craigslist falls under that category
